The Lumiére Brothers
The Lumiere Brothers, Auguste Marie Louis Nicolas and Louis Jean, were manufacturers of photography and equipment, best known for their Cinématographe motion picture system and the short films they produced between 1895-1905, they were pioneers the first ones to show ‘actuality’ films, they tried to capture real life, Lumiere invented a camera that could record, develop and project film, but they regarded their creation as a little more than a curious novelty, The first film they showed was “La Sortie Des ouvriers de l’usine Lumiére” (workers leaving the Lumiére factory) at an industrial meeting in paris in March 1895, it is considered to be the very first motion picture.
